Quality and price, the success formula of Jakob Bruining, a contrator from Twijzel, has switched to Cordex's Silacord wrapping film for wrapping 85 by 90 centimeter midibales. This switch, prompted by Cordex's favorable pricing in the spring of 2023, pleasantly surprised Bruining. With Cordex's relatively new presence in the market, Bruining emphasizes: "It's about quality, but the price makes the difference." Bruining wraps about twelve thousand midibales annually with two Criap 8590 press combinations, developed by RVB Mechanisatie. These bales, mainly intended for private horse owners and forage traders, require more precise preservation than larger round bales. "An optimal taste, essential for the horses, is achieved at a moisture content of fifteen to sixteen percent," explains Bruining. Therefore, the quality of the wrapping film plays a crucial role.
Cordex: proven under all conditions Bruining's experience with Cordex film is downright positive. Both the durability and reliability of the film under various weather conditions - from wet to very hot - have convinced Bruining of the superiority of Cordex's product. "I haven't had any complaints about mold infestation or poor preservation," he says enthusiastically. This successful experience motivates Bruining to continue using Cordex film in the future, even with the recently purchased large bale press.

Working without disruptions An additional noticeable advantage of Cordex film is its stability on the roll, even at higher temperatures. "There are sometimes batches in the sun in the yard, and I've noticed that the plastic doesn't slide off the roll or cause problems with the adhesive," explains Bruining. "I haven't experienced any disruptions while working with the film over the past year," he emphasizes. The practical workability is good.
Recommendation for colleagues Jakob Bruining's experience underscores the benefits of Cordex's Silacord wrapping film, both in terms of price and performance. His recommendation to colleagues in the industry is clear: "The quality is undeniable, and the price makes it attractive. Cordex is a choice I would definitely make again."
